I heard from the sisters that you are on a 26-hour trip. How´s it going? Are you making good time? Btw, do you have to keep a look out for fish farms or fishing pots? When Pat and I were cruising down the east coast of Spain, that was my main job: lookout for the hundreds of markers. Perhaps it would have been easier if we had traveled further away from the coast, but I loved looking at the towns, beaches, scenery etc. as we went by (otherwise it was pretty boring!). Good luck and fair winds on this part of the journey, Bren!
That's a good one Marg. I was safe at anchor when you posted that. The gale came sooner and was stronger than I thought it would be when I left Lowestoft. I won't forget that in a hurry.
Sorry Mary, I've only been looking at the blog when I have some photos to add which as you can see isn't often. I'll do it daily and add photos later if I have any.
Alnwick (silent L, silent W). Impressive castle and town that I had never heard of. Alnwick castle. Home of Harry Hotspur, the famous knight (what? You've never heard of him?) Alnwick castle. Amble marina. Walworth castle in the distance.
Lovely photos, Brendan. Looks like you are enjoying fair weather.

It won’t let me post...have you blocked my tasteful jokes?
ReplyDeleteSailing is the art of slowly moving nowhere at great expense
ReplyDeleteMorning Bren
ReplyDeleteHope you are somewhere safe and sheltered, because it’s been a really windy night
Here’s your joke for the day...
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in his boat and drink beer all day!
Happy sailing,xx

DeleteThat´s a good one, Margaret! You are officially nominated the blog´s joke provider!!
ReplyDeleteTry to check in daily, please Brendan, just so that we know you made it. One or two words will do eg. ... arrived safely.
