  1. Don't blame you for wanting to stay on - there was almost a Mediterranean haze over it this morning(or was that the lard burning from all the cooked breakfasts?? joking!!). Looked set to be a gorgeous day.

It's a lovely town and a 'proper' seaside resort - complete with donkey rides.

Afraid you're likely to be joined by hoardes making their way there tonight though. As I travelled back, the motorways heading north were a carpet of congested steel .....reckon the weekend will have passed by the time the holidaymakers get to their destination! Certainly the day will have.

Though in one sense it's nice to see a return to 'normality', even if that does entail traffic jams.....

  2. I think it´s great that you were able to join Brendan and do some sightseeing there, Carmel. The good weather was the icing on the cake. Where is the next planned rendez-vous? Orkney Isles with Steve? I´d love to meet up somewhere. I´ve never been to Scotland (to my shame).

On the subject of traveling, I can´t believe that the UK is allowing all the football fans who traveled to Oporto for the football final to return without doing any quarantine. How does that work? Is it because Portugal is on a green list? They won´t be for very long, not after all these fans have brought out the Indian variant with them!

  3. What does Captain Jack Sparrow use to cook? – Pyrex of the Caribbean!
