Steve and Kirkwall cathedral

We found Steve's great grandfather's headstone in Orphir and walked a coast path along Scapa Flow.

    Great photo. What an austere building the cathedral is (with very few embellishments). What is Kirkwall like? Many tourists? What was your journey like, Steve?

    And it looks like he died at 26-years old. Such a young man. The inscriptions are a little aged but the headstone is in good condition generally (considering Orkney wild weather). So glad you found this, Steve, and were able to pay your respects.
